We agree - cheddar popcorn is awesome on its own, but we had to add a little uniquely Mabel’s twist to ours. SW Queso is Southwestern-inspired and packed with flavor. It had a classic cheddar base with a rich, smoky coating that makes it feel like everyone’s favorite dip was roasted over a campfire.

The infamous SW Queso… How did we come up with such a flavor? And where did the name come from?
Obviously, chips and queso is a classic snack for a reason and anyone could easily drink the stuff, but tortilla chips are really just the vessel. Popcorn is our vessel. Using a cheddar base (yes, we know queso is not traditionally cheddar, but it’s inspired - we are from Minnesota after all, and our neighbors to the East have some of the best cheddars the United States has to offer!), we added seasonings to amp it up a bit - this isn’t typical cheddar popcorn, and it is very different from the cheddar popcorn that is in our KCC Mix. We like to describe the flavor as “roasting your favorite dip over a campfire” because, while it’s still coated in the cheese-y goodness you’re looking for, it has a seasoned smoky flavor to it. We send a special thanks to our friends of the south for not only creating one of the best munch snacks like chips and queso, but creating an inspiring flavor profile that is distinct, addictive, and amazingly delicious.
